START OF ‘THE WORLDWIDE SOPURKH PRAYER MOVEMENT’ ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2010
Felicitas Feigl feels guided to initiate a worldwide SoPurkh Prayer Movement on September 22, 2010, in reverence to ‘The Grace of God Movement’ Yogi Bhajan started 40 years ago on September 22, 1970. The initiative to do so was inspired by women uniting worldwide to pray the SoPurkh Prayer, as well as by her personal experience reciting the prayer, by her vision and by her recognizing the destiny in her spiritual name, which is Sopurkh Kaur.
The SoPurkh Prayer is part of the Rehras Prayer and the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. It was delivered by Guru Ram Das, is written in Gurmuki and describes the universal creative force - that primal God. Yogi Bhajan, the Master of Kundalini Yoga, taught the technology of reciting the SoPurkh Prayer as a 40 day meditation and shared this ancient technology with women so that they could heal communication within their relationships to men, elevate a man’s projection and destiny, and protect a man’s identity and integrity. A woman may also recite the prayer to attract her true love as well as a child which may become a man of God.
Felicitas Chantal Anna Feigl received her spiritual name Sopurkh Kaur from Yogi Bhajan in 2003. She started reciting the SoPurkh prayer in 2005, while working as a Mukta Jethadar at the Miri Piri Academy in Amritsar, after Nirinjan Kaur Khalsa gifted her with a SoPurkh CD. Reciting the prayer at that time for herself helped her to integrate some of her masculine aspects, release self animosity and to accept her true self more and more, as well as recover from a past relationship. These days Felicitas Sopurkh Kaur is chanting the SoPurkh Prayer as a daily Sadhana in devotion to God, as well as for her future husnamd and their future son. Reciting this ancient prayer as a daily practice she is experiencing a growing sense of peace within herself. She also noticed a growing sense of compassion for herself, others and especially for men and that communication with the men around her has become more harmonious.
Experiencing the effects of the prayer Felicitas Sopurkh Kaur felt guided to share it with other women and started holding monthly SoPurkh Prayer Circles in London in January 2010. She realized that when women come together in prayer the energies of the prayers are amplified immensely and thus she felt guided to encourage other women to set up prayer circles worldwide. Inspired by her understanding of the power of a woman’s prayer and her vision she launched www.sopurkh.org in July 2010.
‘I am holding the vision that women connect worldwide and recite this prayer for themselves and the men of our Planet Earth. Praying the SoPurkh prayer may support a woman to fully embrace her divine nature as well as help her to create a deeply fulfilling relationship with her beloved. The energy of love and compassion this prayer can carry may also be dedicated especially to men in areas of crisis where women still experience being abused and killed by men, like in some parts of the Republic of Congo. May the power of this prayer support men to awaken to their true identity so that they may accept their divine nature and honor the divinity in all women and all life.'
On September the 14, 2010 Spirit Voyage together with Ramdesh Kaur had inspired over 180 women from 22 countries for ‘the 40 Day SoPurkh Challenge’, which is also promoted on their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/spiritvoyage#!/spiritvoyage?v=wall, to collectively recite the SoPurkh Prayer for 40 days. The SoPurkh Prayer is recited 11 times per day and can be and can be chanted along the beautiful SoPurkh version of Nirinjan
Kaur Khalsa, wich can be downloades from http://www.spiritvoyage.com/blog/index.php/tag/sopurkh. The Spirit Voyage site has a page where women can share their experiences of SoPurkh. There is also www.chantsopurkh.typepad.com set up by Marcia Nimrita Kaur who is holding monthly SoPurkh Prayer Circles in California and has shared her own experiences reciting the SoPurkh Prayer on her site. The www.sopurkh.org website supports ‘The Worldwide SoPurkh Prayer Movement’ and serves as a platform for women as well as men to share their experiences of the Sopurkh Prayer, to connect as a community, and to support and inspire each other worldwide. It contains information on the SoPurkh prayer, which can be downloaded in text form, guidance on how to recite it, a forum, and encourages women to set up their own SoPurkh Prayer Circles as well as lists worldwide praying circles. The ‘Worldwide SoPurkh Prayer Movement’ is supported by Tarn Taran Kaur Khalsa on www.kundaliniwomen.org as well as by IKYTA on www.kundaliniyoga.com and 3HO on www.3ho.org.
Yogi Bhajan often spoke about the power of women to shape mankind. Recognizing the power and grace of the female Yogi Bhajan established the ‘Grace of God Movement” 40 years ago on September 22, 1970 in San Francisco. The SoPurkh Prayer is one of the technologies which ignites in the woman her power of prayer and her peace and according to Yogi Bhajan there is nothing in this world that is more powerful than the prayer of a noble woman. Felicitas Sopurkh Kaur is calling to women to begin their process of this discovery, and to start to recite the SoPurkh Prayer on September the 22, 2010 as a daily practice for 40 days in devotion to their own divinity as well as for the men in their lives. She is encourages women all over the world who feel an affinity with the prayer, no matter what religious background, to set up SoPurkh Prayer Circles. By creating a space for women to come together and to pray together for the men in their communities a sacred space is created which allows women to move from competition into sisterhood. The energy of love and compassion the SoPurkh Prayer carries may be extended out to all men, especially to men in areas of crisis.
All the individual SoPurkh Prayer Circles may connect worldwide during times of crisis, for example by praying on the same day at the same time, focusing the energy of the prayer, to support the men of this earth and evolution of consciousness. To list your circle or to find a circle in your area please go to here.
